Special Events:

October: The Sumter Civic Dance Company hosts a Contemporary concert comprised of student choreography from members who have received the “Young Choreographer’s Award”.
December: In “Jingle With The Arts” the Sumter Civic Dance Company collaborates with the Sumter High School Show Choir in a “Rockette Styled” Christmas performance.
March: The Sumter Civic Dance Company’s annual Spring Concert will be held in March. This performance showcases the many talents of the Sumter Civic Dance Company in a professional show.
May: We end our performance season with our school-wide dance recital in May.
Our recital is our biggest annual event. It gives the students a chance to perform in front of an audience, and provides great memories for all who perform and attend. We also provide a photographer and videographer to capture these memories for you.

***In addition to our usual performances, select dance classes will be chosen to perform at various Sumter festivals such as the Iris Festival, The Lights at Swan Lake and the Sumter Christmas parade.
